Judge’s Comments: Incredibly moving. Obvious the team was inspired by the importance of the telethon to the families. Great use of testimonials from children to reinforce the Lemonade Stand. Most important, it served its purpose. I was judging a contest and at the end, I wanted to give to Alex’s Lemonade Stand!

Judge’s Comments: This is a remarkable natural sound package. It’s one thing to tell an architectural legacy story, but it takes craftsmanship to produce an engaging piece. The train station sights and sounds came alive throughout the piece. Frank Furness’ works moved this transportation-inspired piece. I enjoyed the documentary feel to this feature story. Great camera work and wonderful interview use to create a seamless flow.

Judge’s Comments: The feature was adorably written to showcase the youthful questions to the authors. Since the story takes place in a library, it’s tough to create movement. Lauren Krenzel does a splendid job bringing the children’s writers to life with zooms and pans.
